Your breath is your constant companion.
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a gentle and powerful practice for healing, self-awareness, and emotional integration. Sessions are offered in Fremantle, Perth, and online.
Your breath is your constant companion - from your first breath to your last. It is spacious, wise, and deeply connected to your body’s natural rhythm.
When we consciously connect to this breath, we begin to uncover what’s been held, what’s been hidden, and what’s ready to move.
My name is Paula. I support people through Conscious Connected Breathwork from a small studio in Fremantle, just outside of Perth, Western Australia.
This is a gentle and powerful modality that uses the breath to support emotional release, nervous system regulation, and deeper self-awareness.
People often come to Breathwork feeling:
stuck in their heads
overwhelmed or anxious
disconnected from their body or emotions
And leave feeling:
grounded and calm
clearer, softer, and more human
more present and resourced

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
It’s a simple breathing pattern, with no pauses between the inhale and exhale, that can bring profound insight, clarity, and emotional release. It helps bypass the busy mind and reconnect with the deeper layers of your body and being.
Every session is subtly guided and completely tailored to your pace and needs. You don’t need any prior experience. Just curiosity, and a willingness to listen to what your body might want to say when given the space.
How a session works
Sessions run for around 90-120 minutes, with plenty of time to land, breathe, and gently integrate.
We begin by settling in and exploring what’s present for you
You’ll then be guided into the breathing practice, supported the whole way
Music is played to support your process
You can lie down, get comfortable, and follow your own rhythm
I may also offer gentle, supportive touch to help with grounding and connection, but this is always optional and led by your comfort.
We end with time to come back slowly and integrate
This is responsive, respectful work, and I’ll always support you to stay in a space where you feel safe and grounded. There’s no pressure to have a big release or go anywhere you’re not ready to go. You can stop or pause at any time.
How I work
I work with respect for your nervous system, your pace, and your unique way of being.
I know that for many people - especially those who are sensitive, masking, chronically ill, or often overwhelmed - healing spaces can feel inaccessible or performative.
My hope is that this space offers you permission to soften, be curious, and move at your own pace.
I’ve been working with Conscious Connected Breathwork for over 13 years and am a Professional Member of the Australian Breathwork Association, having completed over 450 hours of in-person training.
This work is personal to me, and I bring both lived experience and professional training to every session I hold.
Why people come to Breathwork
Many people come to Breathwork when talk therapy isn’t quite reaching what’s underneath, or when they’re seeking a more body-based way to process what they already understand intellectually.
Breathwork and therapy can work beautifully together.
While therapy gives space to explore patterns, stories, and insights, Breathwork often brings the somatic piece, supporting deep release and integration.
Breathwork can help:
Calm the nervous system
Access and release stuck emotions
Reconnect with the body
Restore a sense of aliveness
Cultivate self-trust
Feel more present, resourced, and grounded

Is this for me?
You might be drawn to this work if:
You’ve done talk therapy but still feel stuck in your body
You feel disconnected, anxious, or like you’re always “holding it together”
You want to feel more grounded, clear, and connected
You’re neurodivergent and want a sensory-safe, non-performative space
You’re just… curious
You don’t need to be “ready.” You don’t need to know how to do it. You just need to show up. I’ll meet you where you are.

Yes. My approach is gentle, trauma-aware, and centred around nervous system safety. You’ll never be pushed. We go at your pace, and consent is always respected. Many clients come to me with anxiety, overwhelm, or trauma histories and find breathwork deeply grounding and calming.
-
Yes! And you are very welcome here. I’m AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD) myself, and I create a sensory-aware, neuroaffirming space. You’re free to unmask, stim, move around, or ask for any accommodations that help you feel comfortable.
-
This is a common concern. Breathwork can bring up strong emotions, but you're always in control of your breath and experience. If it ever feels like too much, we can pause, slow down, or change direction. We go at your pace, and I’ll be right there with you.
-
Not at all. Most people I work with are brand new to breathwork. I’ll guide you step by step, and you’ll be supported the whole way.

I’ve been working with Conscious Connected Breathwork for over 13 years. I’ve completed over 450 hours of in-person training with a practitioner recognised by the Australian Breathwork Association, and I’m a Professional Member of the ABA. This work is both personal and professional for me, and I bring both lived experience and formal training to each session.

Breathwork can help calm the nervous system, ease anxiety, improve sleep, release stuck emotions, and reconnect you with your body and clarity. It can also support emotional integration alongside other modalities like therapy.
-
Possibly, but we go gently. If you’ve experienced significant trauma, know that I will always respect where you are and what you feel ready for. Memories or emotions may arise, but there’s no pressure to go anywhere you’re not ready to. You’ll be supported the whole time.
-
I sometimes use gentle, supportive touch on areas like feet, belly, chest, or head, to help with grounding, regulation and connection. Touch is always optional and guided by your comfort.
-
I’m happy to chat before you book - get in touch here.
What to bring & important notes
Please wear something comfortable that allows for movement and breath. It’s best not to eat for at least an hour before your session.
Accessibility & Sensory Considerations
I aim to make Breathwork as comfortable and supportive as possible for everyone. The studio has adjustable lighting, the option of blankets and props, and a calm environment. If you have sensory sensitivities (sound, light, smell, or touch), access needs, or anything that helps you feel grounded, you’re welcome to let me know.
*Note: The space has standard rubber gym flooring, which can have a mild off-gassing scent that some people may notice. Most clients don’t pick up on it, but I like to mention it in case you’re sensitive to smell.
Safety & Considerations
Breathwork can be a powerful practice, and I’ll always support you to go at your own pace. There’s no pushing, forcing, or need for intensity. Many of my clients have very gentle sessions, and the breath can remain soft and slow while still being deeply effective.
If you’re working with any of the following conditions, it’s best to check with your doctor first and/or have a chat with me before booking so we can make sure the session is supportive and safe for you:
Cardiovascular conditions (e.g. arrhythmia, history of heart issues)
Recent surgery or injuries
Epilepsy
High blood pressure (particularly if unmanaged)
Glaucoma or significant eye pressure issues
Pregnancy
Psychiatric conditions (especially psychosis or acute episodes)
Active spiritual emergency
Acute illness (like the flu or COVID)
Everyone is different, and Breathwork can be adapted to suit your needs. If you're unsure, just reach out. I'm always happy to talk it through.
Still not sure if Breathwork is right for you?
It’s completely okay to feel unsure. You don’t have to know anything or be ready in a particular way.
You’re welcome to:
→ Send me a message
→ Book your first session
→ Or just follow along via my mailing list (where I share reflections, upcoming sessions, and offerings)
A heartfelt thank you
I acknowledge those teachers throughout lifetimes who have shared their ancient wisdom, knowledge and experience around the power of the breath. And those who developed and shared breathwork practices with the world. It is not new, and its roots are deep.
